Adam Connatser
For Adam, it’s very simple: do a great job for a fair price.
That should be all he needs to say. However, to let you know more about him, he’s an entrepreneur and an experienced business lawyer. He’s an active dad and a devoted husband. He serves his community and strives every day to be a good global citizen.
Adam serves the firm’s clients by drawing on 17-plus years of experience practicing business law. Adam has served a wide range of clients throughout his career, from those at the highest echelons of business and finance, to entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses, and non-profits.
He is particularly honored to offer the firm’s clients his expertise as one of the foremost attorneys in the country specializing in the converging worlds of business and social impact. His expertise in this area stems from deep experience helping clients such as:
- social entrepreneurs
- impact investors
- innovative foundations
Adam also serves the firm’s clients by building on his substantial experience in areas such as:
- business and transaction structuring
- securities offerings, including growth capital, venture capital, angel investments, seed rounds and initial coin offerings
- mergers and acquisitions
- investment fund formation and fundraising
- lending and commercial finance
- workouts and restructurings
- corporate governance
- employment and incentive agreements
- commercial contracts
Adam consciously takes the initiative to spot opportunities and issues for his clients that they may not see. He connects his clients with his colleagues in other legal specialties, as well as with non-legal advisors such as accountants, bankers, insurers and consultants.
He has written and spoken extensively on topics such as social entrepreneurship, impact investing, M&A and finance transactions.
Before co-founding Wright Connatser in late 2014, Adam practiced law for 12-plus years at Patton Boggs (now Squire Patton Boggs, where he was a partner from 2009 to early 2014) and as a partner at the mid-sized firm Palter Stokley Sims Wright (now Palter Sims Martinez).
Adam attended The University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated With Honors in 2001. Before that, he attended Baylor University, where he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Business in 1998.
He was named one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” in 2017 by D Magazine. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Texas Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2005.
In the community, Adam has served on numerous non-profit boards, including as Board President of Family Compass, a strong and long-standing child abuse prevention agency. He coaches his kids’ soccer, baseball and softball teams, and is also a proud member of the Leadership Dallas class of 2014.
In his (limited!) free time, Adam is the breakfast chef at home, where he specializes in whole grain pancakes and scrambled eggs. He is fascinated by the future of work (forget fancy offices, and hello AI!) and is acutely in tune with the biggest global issues of our time - particularly poverty and inequality.
